As a vintage style lover, I can sometimes get stuck in a rut of the same looks. But living like a bombshell doesn’t mean obeying certain style rules, it means an air of effortlessness and fun. I love using the seasons for inspiration for style, so I rounded up new products & looks to spark up some Spring ideas for you too! 💋
Pastel Eyeshadow – How to Make it Actually Show!
Pastel shadow is so gorgeous and so fun to experiment with, but it is hard to make it pop! Use Kat Von D’s Lock It Concealer in White Out on the lids first to create a solid white canvas to totally change your pastel shadow game.
Senna Cosmetics’ 80’s palette (which I was lucky enough to get signed by it’s creator, Eugenia Weston, at The Makeup Show) is just all things Springtime & pastel. It has 7 soft and buttery shadows I love to wear blended or on their own. The Mars black is one of those actually black black shadows that are invaluable in a makeup kit.
Pinup Nail Tip 💅
For nails, give reds an additional pop by using an orange polish underneath. For this look I used Sally Hansen Triple Shine in Flame On! Underneath Sinful Colors GoGo Girl red.
Z-Palettes are an easy way to overhaul your makeup counter for a quick Spring Cleaning. I will be depotting lipsticks into their new Glitter High Gloss palette collection, which has so many pretty spring colors! And teal iridescent glitter, for every mermaid heart 👌✨I’ll update you guys on my lipstick palette once I’ve completed my masterpiece!
Cutest Packaging & Product of the Spring
Physicians Formula is a Cruelty Free, very high quality drugstore brand that usually has throwback styles and packaging but is always on new trends as well. Their Cushion Corrector + Primer Duos tick both of those boxes!
These corrector have sponges with corrective fluid in each side. These are becoming more popular but PF is the only brand to sell two colors in one adorable compact!
Wouldn’t you love to find one of these in your Easter basket? They’re buy one get one half off at Ulta right now, so you can try both for $25!
Hair by Brigitte
Brigitte Bardot was the queen of big hair. Though it was huge, it was never over coiffed (in this Southern girl’s opinion, 😂). The French actress rocked a very relaxed attitude when it came to her wild mane. For this season, less fussiness is nice. Embrace your hair’s natural look but enhance it with some flowers or a simple bow.
This look could easily be the second day after the flowered braids in the opening image, when she piled the braids on top, added pins where needed, and went out exploring.
